WHO SURVEY ON MENTAL HEALTH OF HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS
The European Patient Safety Foundation supports this important WHO/Europe survey by encouraging all its member organisations representing healthcare professionals in Europe to participate in the survey on their mental health.
Every voice matters!
"WHO/Europe, as part of a project funded by the European Commission, launched a first-of-its-kind survey on the mental health and well-being of health-care professionals across the 27 European Union countries, Iceland and Norway. This survey, the largest of its kind to be undertaken in Europe, aims to gather crucial data to better understand the challenges doctors and nurses face in their work environments.
Health systems are experiencing increasing pressures, with many doctors and nurses reporting poor mental health and working conditions. These challenges are contributing to burnout, absenteeism and professionals leaving the workforce. To address these concerns, WHO/Europe aims to collect data and responses from doctors and nurses directly, to understand the key factors affecting mental health and well-being, providing a strong evidence base to guide effective strategies for improving working conditions.
