Together, hand in hand, representatives of the healthcare professions, their associations, patient organisations, industry and business have joined forces in the Aktionsbündnis Patientensicherheit e. V. (APS) to build a common platform that serves a common higher purpose: the improvement of patient safety in Germany.

 

Together, as an alliance, they decide and support the projects and initiatives of the association. The professional orientation, statements, strategy and content come from the volunteer board. Patient information and recommendations for action are produced in volunteer working groups, characterised by passion and expertise.They form the core of the association's work.

 

In addition, the APS has launched ongoing projects such as the #GermanyRecognisesSepsis campaign, the Patients for Patients Safety initiative and the German Patient Safety Award.

 

On World Patient Safety Day (17 September), the APS supports campaigns with materials and media work to raise awareness of patient safety among professionals and the general public.
